Hey Quickslick

I really want to play this mod but I can't seem to get it to work.

When I try to install the file in CSM I cant find it (even though it is there in the downloaded file).

Looking at the CSM file in the download is only 2.5kb which seems quite small.

Have you got any ideas about what could be going wrong??

you have to install csm first, then unzip the mod, create an F1 1995 folder in your GP4\GPSAVES\Carsets folder and copy the content of the F1 1995 2.21 folder in the new folder. After this, start csm and select the mod from the left at load and restore mods. Furthermore you have to install the trackpack 1995, to get the right tracks for the mod

Hi Quickslick

Thanks for getting back to me. I have carried out that procedure but when CSM looks for the file (the CSM file) it cant find anything to open. However, if I look at the folder without CSM there is a file there but its only 2.5kb which is very small.

Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

the small size is correct, because the 2,5 kb file is to start the mod with csm. If you open csm, search in the window for this file and click on it to choose the mod. After that, you need to go to the tab 'the mod's configurables. There you can make all settings for the mod and finally start it with the start button at the right bottom corner

I can see the CSM file when I open the downloaded, folder but when I try to use CSM to install the carset, CSM cant find the file. Even when I insert the file into the carset folder in GP$SAVES it still doesn't register the mod when I open CSM.

The file should be uncompressed in the folder "gpsaves\carsets\(your mod folder)" I mean unzip the whole file (1995 version 2.21.rar - about 500 MB) in that folder.

Schu4ever: In CSM, have you checked the FILE - OPTIONS page to make sure it's looking in the right place?

Edit: Played this mod for the first time recently and enjoyed it a lot. Excellent work. Thanks.

Hey guys

Thanks for all your help. It is now working!

I thought that somehow the download was corrupted but it turns out that it was the extraction tool I was using. It was only partially extracting the files so when CSM was trying to access the file it could not find it. I tried another tool and used it, followed Quickslick's directions and there it was - F1 1995 sitting in the CSM mod window, ready to be enjoyed!

Thank you all for your replies, they are greatly appreciated. This is such a great forum.

Thanks to Quickslick for compiling the mod. It looks fantastic! I cannot wait to give it a red hot run later today!!

Hi All, Sorry if this is a stupid question but just installed the excellent 1995 mod but having a bit of trouble driving due to the lack of any information on the dash...No shift lights, RPM gauge or fuel info
anyway to fix this?
Cheers in advance

Hi all! May you confirm that the link in the first post is the latest version of the 1995 mod? Are there any other updates? Thank you so much! :)

There is a new Ferrari, which you can replace the original (also made by me), available in my downloads.
It's in my long term plans to redo the Benetton (and Ligier) but busy with other things right now. Perhaps when I get around to that, I'll include a CSM update file.
