Is anyone working on a physics file for this. I'm not sure whether this is altered via the physics editor or via each tracks magic data.

Tyre wear is altered via each track's magic data.

Locate the bold value:
...
desc67=sectors to pit in 1
desc68=sectors to pit in 2
desc69=pre pit speed limit
desc70=fuel consumption Player
desc71=fuel consumption AI
desc72=tyre grip wear rate (cc shuffler???)
desc73=a segment nr before which flag 0x80 in car.flags_ce is not cleared
desc74=timing factor? (dw)
desc75=timing factor finetune? (dw)
...

example:
...
18 ; sectors to pit in 1
39 ; sectors to pit in 2
8192 ; pre pit speed limit
16643 ; fuel consumption Player
16642 ; fuel consumption AI
3968 ; tyre grip wear rate (cc shuffler???)
24 ; a segment nr before which flag 0x80 in car.flags_ce is not cleared
98120 ; timing factor? (dw)
0 ; timing factor finetune? (dw)
...

Setting a higher value, results in faster tyre wear.

Thanks alot - I'll give this a go.

The actual tyre wear value is "AI Race Performance" in TSM ;)

As it happens, the "natural" tyre wear in GP4 is actually quite close to the Pirellis anyhow :)

where can i find the magic data file for a track? :(

You need the CMagic editor and then extract the data and save it. You can read it in notepad or equivalent. There is a CMagic editor for both versions of GP4. I was a bit confused but when you play around for a few minutes its quite simple.

when the wear of IA's tyre is too important, she stops to pit ? or she continues and stops normally with wear as original gp4 ?

@Cyberracer - have you found some numbers that give good results, or is it completely track dependant?

"when the wear of IA's tyre is too important, she stops to pit ? or she continues and stops normally with wear as original gp4 ?" - I think it must be that the IA will follow the magic data instructions? Its probably a bit of trial and error to get the logical increased wear rates.

???
please, define what you mean by "good results" ...

I can´t find the "tyre grip wear rate" only "tyre wear" ....what is the right name for this??

@ Fischi :
You 'll probably find it as "cc shuffler???"

@ SchueyFan :
Still not defining what results you talk about...
Anyway, if you mean "accurate to real life" LAP TIMES, the answer is "NO" meaning that tyre grip cannot be used in any manner to adjust the lap times.
Adjusting lap times is done in a different manner (I have explained the whole procedure in my 2010RealityPack file).
After adjusting lap times you can use "tyre grip wear rate" to adjust and simulate the loss of grip lap after lap, resulting in longer and longer lap times.
The values are track dependant because:
- tyre usage profile is track dependant > in different tracks we have different amounts of braking accelerating and turning (=lateral loads to tyre surface) per lap.
- track temprature is different, resulting in different tyre wear rates, even if usage profiles were the same. Via "tyre grip wear rate" value in magic data, GP4 managed to adjust this parameter seperately for each track to simulate the real conditions.
So, you can only test different values of this parameter until you get to losing grip lap after lap, in a way that seems realistic.

I increase tyre wear in line "tyre wear" in magic data but this has no influence on ia, just me

ok cyberracer....you mean "cc shuffler???" means that the computer cars lost grip lap per lap if i change the number of "cc shuffler???"
....that´s right?! and it´s only for the computer cars, not for me?!

@ Fischi:

...means exactly that.
As far as I remember, changes affect all cars, AI and player, but I'm not 100% sure, because it's almost a year since I played with these values.

Mh...i´m confused because I change the number very high and I think there are no different in the race....and I drive 100% race.
:(

Guys, I already posted the correct answer ... the real tyre wear value is "AI Race performance".

Do you know what this corresponds to in Cmagic - there is a Tyre wear line in Cmagic. Would this be altered?
