Hey guys!

I've started working on this year's official rev counter respectively on-board HUD on the F1 broadcasting. Here's what I came up with so far:



The functionality is all there, still have to sort and add/improve some graphical things before it's ready for release (as well as the rev needle that still is making some trouble).
The DRS is currently linked to TC (which is help F7). That is a relict from my time in GP4 leagues when i switched off TC in the exit of the corner to increase revs, I though it resembles the DRS in the best possible way there is for now.

I would like to hear your opinion on KERS: Would you like the battery to progressively uncharge throughout a lap? That's actually the only way to at least make it look like it's in the car.

Congratulations! Your 2011 HUD looks very realistic and the graphics are great. The transparency is very good. It is possible to uncharge the battery during a lap. The problem is that you have to create an ini file for each track to make it realistic. I remember that Samuele (32BOBO32) made a 2009HUD using KERS system with ini files for Melbourne and Shangaï. Maybe it could be helpful to you to have a look: [gp4notebook.blogspot.com]

PS: But as tou could see yesterday at the Sepang GP, KERS and DRS don't work very well so I think it is not very important if the battery doesn't uncharge in game! ;)

In my opinion DRS and KERS would work only in straight line in front of pits, likas happens in race

It looks great. I think the km/h font should not be so bold. because in your pic the 44 are almost touching each other. As long as the battery simulates uncharging it would be fine.

Yes, maybe you could program the DRS to go off on the main straight (by scheduling it for 1-50 track sectors or something like that)

Wouldn't it be possible to make DRS be activated when reaching a certain km/h? KERS, just let it unload during a lap
I've made that same effect making the 'GPGSL' boost button, and that was based upon 32BOBO32's version of the KERS

It looks very nice!
you can improve kers like my 2009 one! Please improve also the red line on revs ;)
For DRS maybe you can use it only in some track sector (1 to 7% for example and 96 to 100%) to simulate drivers using it in finish straight

What a fine idea :) Looking forward to see final result...

Hope it will be useful in GP3 as well...

How is progress on the overlay right now...?? :)

After a couple of updates and improvements I'm currently finishing the graphics for the final assembly and release.

Very nice idea with TC !
Is it possible to program (i think it's very hard to program this function...) , that the kers display "unload" when you are pressing the button for the launch control ? because you don't need the launch control button in the race. I know you can't feel the kers in the game but it's nice to play with the buttons on the steering wheel ;)
My thoughts are: Pressing the launch control button activate the animation to unload - another press stops the animation.
