Melbourne 2011
After returning from the track armed with some photos, I decided to take a quick break from my other tracks and put together Melbourne 2011.

I tried to incorporate some nice new features that haven't been in previous Melbourne tracks.

Thanks To:
TTM - Melbourne 2006 and 2007, 2008 Garages, 2007 Pit Gantries.

Gildoorf - Updating Melbourne from 2008 to 2010, LG digiflag shape.
Jcaranti - Modified pit entry in .dat file.
Xandy - Methods to improve track.
Josekast - 2011 Engineers, 2011 Ferrari and Renault garages, 2011 Renault Pitstand.
grl48 - 2011 Williams and Lotus garages.
Renault#1Fan - 2010 Engineers and Pitstands.
SkaningeN - Track cameras.
Vesuvius - Tarmac converted from F1 2010.
superman77m - TSM Version

Author's Note
I decided not to lock the track, as I don't think that is helpful for the community. If you want to update this track, please have the decency to contact me or at least to credit me and the contributors to this project.

I hope everyone enjoys the tracks. If you have any feedback, feel free to post it.

Hi!

thanks for your efforts.
I tried to load this track with TSM but could not do that. I add this track to TSM, created a new profile and added melbourne 2011 to it. When i try to load mod with this profile i get this error:

Host: GP4LIB 0.8.108
Caller: GP4LIB
Procedure: modTracks SetTracks
Date: 08.04.2011
Time: 17:42:26
Can't finish procedure
Line: 169
Source: TSMCore

Os Info:
Unknown OS Version 6.1

6.1 b 7601

Русский (Россия) (Russian)

-------------Place some info here of how and when it happened-------------

I tried to change melbourne 2011 to original GP4 melbourne track and error dissapeared, so i assume somethings wrong with your track.

Anybody have this error and any ideas how to solve it?

wow - nice surprise ;)
and a credit by a grandmaster

I recommended changing the format of tree texture to DXT5 full transparency if a NVidia card and supersampling are used. The change of format has a downside though - there can be a clash of transparency of tree and fence resulting in missing fence textures. So - if you don't use supersampling or don't have high PO you should use the original format for the tree textures (melborne2001_054/056/057/058/454/455/456 - DXT1 semi transparency).

re TSM issue: extract wad and rebuild wad with WadUpdater - worked for me

cheers

Thanks, I really appreciate it! :)

I can't help with the TSM problem, as I don't use it myself. Maybe the old re-saving the magic data trick works?

As for the shadows problem, I've already reduced the extent of the problem with the new sidelines, but there is still a small problem. I don't know what's causing this problem unfortunately.
