"Gp4 cars part have a 3D mesh (the visible part) and a 3D "bound mesh" (invisible).
So even if you change the visible 3D mesh, Game use original bounds to detect collisions.
There's a file named car_colisision_mesh.ct in the cars.wad and i think we will find some appropriate answer in it, but i personnaly havn't found how to read them."

ive got an idea. im currently testing it

:-o What are you waiting for then, get working, snap snap ;-)

Hehe, got working :) Just see below :)

In fact, looking to car_collision_mesh.ct, i wasn't able to find 3d bounds for collisions, but instead, i found...wheels coordinates :)

So i did a small new tool to be able to change them, like usual :)
Here is what it looks like:

And here is the treasure place:
[realgpx.free.fr]

Just a last thing, it changes tyre positions, but not collision détections, sorry.

the collision doesnt change but the gfx do. the ai drivers act like thats were the tire is and aviods the other cars when its near them :P

a step forward i say

Try moving the suspension and seeing if then makes it act like the new tyre postion. So the AI drivers react to the new wheels?

That wud be true!

Great work guys!

Does this mean we can have a Reliant Robin F1 car?

great stuff, i presume there are more co-ordinates for the position of the object in relation to the collinison detection, must be

were on the way :)

what you need is a system where the collision detection is created based apon the values entered for wheel position, i can now hopefully remap my tyrrell, and get it sorted in game!
