about crash during the game look at this trick that i found in a topic some time ago. For me seems to work.

I have a P4 (Pentium4) and...
OK, you said enough :) P4 processors use a new technology called Hyper-Threading. Even if it can increase some application execution speed, it can also cause troubles to others and GP4 is in the others. What you could experiment is freezes when pausing game or during replay and freeze to crash when trying to switch from onboard to Track TV cameras.
In such cases, you can try to use GpxPatch and change CPU value onto “0” or “1” instead of “all”.

i have a question....not only for this track but for all tracks. I drive with a keyboard as a rookie and all the cars (also ai cars) have the same set up ...but still my car is always faster on the long straights? How is this possible using exactly the same setups as the ai cars? For example Mugello..ai cars approx 310 km per hour ....my car approx 320 km per hour (on the long straight)!:-O

Rookie mode = slow cars. Try Pro or Ace mode.

Why not? it's not that bad. Using the 92 mod I manage to win wiht a brabham playing with keyboard. It's hard, but it's good to. More challenger!!!
Give a try

Try semi-pro then.

Remember that difficulty level affects both the AI's power and grip, so if you're finding the AI too slow on the straights, you need to increase the difficulty.
