obviously it's 3d, the only problem is that object dosen't allow lights on it, so I just add the light part and shadow part by hand.

you can add lights on your steering wheel ;-)
the parts must have the name of the old lights...
you can do a own texture for it...

i have testet it...but flipped textures ^^

this is just a test
there are more than 300 items in the wheel defination, so can't be done in just one day.

i dont know that is a test.
i know the the numbers of the parts ;-)

i have do the important parts and the other parts are in the steering wheel :D

but, do you know the way to deal with these text? if it's impossible to change them, i won't go any further

are you placing this as cockpit_wheel.gp4 ? i tried this before, but it will look still 2d since it is not shaded properly...
try moving all this little objects with good old zmodeler, it´s working...

3d steering wheels have been done already a few times in released mods.....
this was the one i was part of for the champcar world series mod....

this steering wheel had similar black look when we first tried it.....turned out not to be within gp4's normal mapping limits...
fixed in zmodeler ...............

enzo, zaz ones coded a tool for me to change the position of the textures on the wheel easily. without fumbling in the .pos ore .txt files. very handy. may be you can use such stuff?
