Soulbringer's Workthread X1 released on page 1

Posted by soulbringer
Thanks all, you're far to kind :-)
I made each car in different way, one was box modeled the other was face to face modeled.
Here are some shots of how I started Williams that might be interesting for some of you guys.

Step one CV curves. I should have made those along Z axe I'll try that next time!

Step two. Loft surface with 14 quad polygons setting, should have tried with lower count.

Step three. Here is why step one should be done in z axe. Had to move, delete, split allot to make all loops fit.

Point is if I can make clean first step, it could be used as base for any car in future.
I would have to tweak curve points just before lofting part.
Kewl isn't it.
Cheers!
I kinda released X1, download as usual on page one.
I hope it works for you guys ;-)

Thanks for the RB X1 Soulbringer! Another great car!

Do you plan or initiate a Toyota TF109 for 2009 season? Just missing this car (with good quality like yours) to finish a nice 2009 mod.

P.S: Anyone can paint a templete with "GP4 logo" inplace of GT5 logo?

Thank you guys.

@kerleyf1: Of course I included gp4 version. Hope you like it better now.
@fongu: Thanks. Apparently technique works fine on making front wings to. ;-)
@mclarenaustralia: I would like to know the same. Here is a tread about it.

I think I got everything now to get this challenge thing going. I was just wondering, 2010 or 2011 f1 cars?

If you could, I think GP4 miss a good Toyota TF109 (2009).

For 2010 I suggest the Hispania.

For 2011 I suggest the Marussia Virgin.

P.S: Please don't do the "big teams" first... make the "back grid teams" first. :-)

Someone is trying to convert X1 for rFactor and says the car having a crap surface in some place :(

He/she also states "The autor of this car is real smartass" What is wrong with this f*cker? :(

Btw does he/she get the permission from you, soulbringer?

The car it-self is not too complicated, there are enough people who can make this model from scratch. Cool

By the way, his model looks like based on the RBR F1 car-model... probably not 100% accurate. Razz

Ha ha! Priceless!

This car have a crap surface in some places. I will try to make it little better.

At leas I made his day.

@ColdClood
No he did not get permission. He send me a PM on day of release asking about it. Eight hours later he send me another angry one
thanking me for nothing :-)
I replied saying that i must have time to think about it, and that he isn't only one asking me that.
Also I wanted to know how is being a arse working out for him.

By the way here is photo of SandroX and his pals from that tread.

Hi Soulbringer!
Don't lose any sleep over these vultures...They're gonna do a crappy job, anyway...laughs!!

Reading the last threads, I'm in doubt...a few days ago you've posted some WIPs of 2011 cars (mclaren, mercedes, ferrari and williams), but I think I'm lost about this challenge thing...does it mean you're gonna stop with the 2011 cars, or are you planning on making those and then the challenge cars? Just asking because I was blown away by the WIP 2011 cars...

Cheers!!!
