Pad controller use?

Hi guys

Iv connected my ps3 controller to my laptop to use as a controller.
However when I calibrate it, the back buttons for accelerator and brake only have the effect of always on or off.
It should be like pedals and see how much its pressed down right as it does on the ps3???

Can this work? Anyone have a setup for a pad controller it I can try?

do they come up as analog axes in the windows control panel? (in the game controllers bit) if so, then it'll be a case of setting GP4 to use those axes for it's throttle/brake. I've only done it with an xbox360 controller, so i'm not 100% sure how the PS3 ones work

no they appear as buttons.i cant get it to use as axis :S
