Will GP4 run on my computer?

Hi guys, new here. Recently had an urge to play some F1 sims, and found out that this is a good place to start. However, I only have a laptop that is a couple of years old. I know the game is pretty old as well so hopefully it will run, I just want to get your opinion. Processor and RAM etc. should be fine, its just the graphics and Vista compatibility I'm worrying about.

Intel Core Due processor T5500 @ 1.66GHz
Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family
2GB DDR2 RAM.
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit.

So what do you think guys? Reckon it will run or will I have a problem? Thanks!

The question isn't "will it run" but "how will it run". I managed to get it working on a less powerful laptop with 2008 mod, but don't expect hi res graphic and high fps.

I wasn't sure if it would work at all with Vista you see, I've had problems getting older games to run on Vista in the past. I obviously would settle for lowest graphics and resolutions as I know the on board graphics on this laptop aren't great, so long as it ran smoothly. So assuming I can cope with low graphics, you think it will run completely smooth?

Vista is fine for everything... no idea why people have issues with it.

graphically - you should be able to get medium details at best, but you should just about be able to get a playable frame rate. just give it a go... the laptop won't explode if it doesn't like it!

Hmm that's strange. I click it and it redirects to the link:

(without the spaces, had to put them in so that it showed it in the forum properly)

and says:

"Not Found

What is it supposed to link to anyway?

just for reference, i've had stock GP4 running on an old 1.8GHz single core AMD Turion laptop, with an X700 graphics board... managed to get it running well on that, so your rig should be OK

I think you will have to consider which mod you will use.

the original game will run more than fine with your PC specs.
Some mods and updates may have to be run at lower graphics settings.

I was kinda amused by the question as you should already be able to play GP2 on your cellphone nowadays! :D
