In digital mode it is used for knocking the car out of gear, yes, but in analog can you feed the clutch like a normal road car?You certainly can in GPL & Nascar 2002
in the calibration options you can even tailor the biting point of the clutch to set it as real as you like.
when downshifting i have make sure before i release the clutch that i have lets the revs drop otherwise it puts me into a spin when the gear is put into place and it suddenly brakes with the engine drivetrain.
But with upshifting i can put the clutch in to let the revs drop slightly if i'm putting too much power through the tyres
its totally realistic in GPL & Nascar 2002, but that could also be due to brilliant physics and FFB
