ello...raztahz here,
lately my old man and i have gone through a gruelling time sorting out sponsorships and racing deals with the NSW karts racing division
i have finally past my CAMS C3 license at oran park on wednesday driving my first 1997 van diemen RF97 Formula Ford...
this experience has gave me one step closer into real racing an advantage of how a real open wheeler drives. i wish to compare this with gp4 and EA's F1 2002 driving physics..
first of all driving a 97' FF isn't a hard job considering there ain't no wings to give you any down force at all. the car itself is nippy and agile and takes a decent time to work with its brakes and acceleration
though this is a far off from real formula one handling...no one here in this forum may have a precise clue how these monster are like on the track...
but i will give you my feel and opnions between gp4, f12002 against a one off formula ford(FF)
disadvantage with this test is aerodynamics variables...without the wings and the lack of a decent gearbox and shape, isn't a much difference but gives a much skillful ideal driving without them....
...so far i have done 8 hours of testing which is under the average of most 10 to 100 hours.
though i can't talk about everything in one note or post.. i will talk about braking and accelerating...which is pretty fair variables between the pair...
each week i may post one topic about each section in racing ( prior limited by my dam HSC and studies but i will continue to go onto this forum)
TOPIC 1 : Braking and Accelerating
this will be posted next week......
