Help to make the 1992 gridcars

Hi guys!

I'm making the gridcars for the 1992 mod. I know how to put the .gp4 model on zmodeler and take a screenshoot from original car. And finally, based on this screenshot, I make the final gridcars (as you can see on Andrea Moda gridcar in image below).

What I want to know is how to use the "magic tool" from photoshop to make the alpha channel and the final gridcar don't show a white line over all the car as show on this image:

I put the option "diffuse" on photoshop "magic tool" on 0% and 99% and the result was the same.

If anyone know another metod to make this gridcars please tell me!

Hi Kerley,

Probably the screenshot you take is a very big picture compared to the 200x49 .gpi file.

If you use the magic tool when the picture is still big, most likely it will be right after you resize it.

There is another useful option on the magic tool but I don't remember what's its name.

Yep, I use a Big picture as base.

I make and .psd file with 600x147 (3 times bigger) for the gridcar.

After make all cuts and "magic tools" configurations on the "big gridcar" I redo the image for 200x49.

I know it's not the point but, What's Mccarthy doing off the back row?

tbh, i think it looks quite good as it is... it makes the car stand out against the background

He is in the back row, hehehe, Position 20! Position 21 is Moreno and 22 is me with Fittipaldi's car (I do not made the qualifying).

Nice observation, but I still need to know how to make this cars without the white line for other mods.

one thing you can do is make the full background of the image black,instead of white - you will still have a black border but you will not really notice it - else you gonna need a slightly smaller alpha channel
