Thank you soooo much for this stunning mod! I'm lovin' it and I even prefer to drive with those cars instead of the real ones from 2010.

I only have one question. Which helmet shape do you use? Obviously it's not the Arai 2006 one...

By the way, is a CSM mod in progress?

Any plans to release a Virgin car as an extra?

sorry i never touch csm and i dont have any plans for a virgin skin, maybe in the future but not now, i did actually want to do the virgin originally but could find any good pics of the car, especially that little tribal type image they use, thats why i didnt do it as an extra car

There is a CSM version by Kixxx20051978 of the World Series 2009 that you could use as a "template".

yes,the carshape is the SMD-300 by MDBSnake.It was made for W300-WGP-GPGSL.you can get it into GPGSL-S5 thread(page 1),under "GPGSL Downloads"

Only partially true Lee has modified the car to fit the 2010 F1 rules, however the original template should work on the lods from the mod

the carshape is the SMD-300 by MDBSnake but modified by myself for ws2009/10 specs, it has different mapping on some parts,i also changed both front and rear wings and removed some other parts

jimbob, you get real. maybe i will report it to bernie if you dont stop being a smart arse. avatars are one thing, but this is an 'official' mod, a 'public' release of 'copyrighted' material is always a much more serious matter then a f1 fans forum avatar. this is the first time ive seen a mod released for gp4 with a screenshot with fia logos on it. im being serious, not starting some stupid joke, if you knew how serious the FIA can be on such matters, then you would eat your words. if someone like me got peed off by jerk off comments from someone like yourself about the matter, then someone like me would report this to the fia, and i dont think youd be laughing when the webmasters of this site were being forced to write statuatory declarations and being threatened with legal action from a huge company with money and power. its happened many times before, we all saw it with websites with downloadable f1 'videos'.

But you know what. im not going to report anything, i just commented in protest, I actually only really commented, because i have been here for a while and am getting a bit peed off by the 'regulars' of this website slagging of many new users of gp4 who try to do some editing of the game, and ar instantly labelled as leechers, just becuse they dont know the rules of the 'gp4 community'. Its extremely difficult to get into the gp4 modding community these days, because ofall the 'leaching' labels and set rules which a new editor cant know of until they have made their first fatal mistake of 'leeching'. I just meant to point out how crap this whole leaching business is, when even the 'legitimate' mods of gp4 are infact breaking laws, copyright laws to be exact.

Well then everyone who plays gp4 or posts any screenshots of copyrighted teams and sponsors,all people who mod a copyrighted game like gp4 are all at risk of being sued then. when i released the 07 & 09 ws mods i made similar screenshots with no problems, ive seen hundreds of screenshots with sponsors and official logos and tbh thats all it is, a screenshot. No ones claiming that they own anything, modding gp4 is all a bit of fun, but it seems yet another person taking this whole thing way to seriously. I,ll think twice before doing anything for gp4 again, i dont even play the damn game tbh, because people like yourself make it not worth the hassle.

I copied and replaced the files in but the game shuts down as the track is loading, any ideas?

you have to extract the cars wad, then rename the lods and the cp_tex files of the cars to the original ones. After this recompile the cars wad and all should be ok

when does the csm mod is coming out for this one, i just loved the 2009 world series.... so i'm hoping that the 2010 world series for csm ios coming very very soon.

@ LWC not sure, I would have thought you just copy and replace with no adjusting to be done..

yeah thats exactly correct, all the files in the mod need to replace the original files and thats it, no modifying needed
