Mortal why do you have to start with that ultimate rig of yours. How can I now post mine when Im just using a wingman rumble pad :-). I wish I could have a seat to try yours. A 29" monitor or bigger would be perfect for that rig. ;-)

I only use a keyboard but I am thinking about buying a steering wheel because of the new 2010 game that is coming out, but the best thing about my setup is that I have hooked my computer up to my 106cm flat screen TV.

Here's my new set-up that I've worked on since late last year:

PC:
- Lancool PC-K58 Case
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
- Intel Core i5 750 2.66 Ghz
- ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB
- 4GB OCZ Gold 1333 Mhz RAM
- Asus P55-D LE Motherboard
- 320GB 7,200 RPM Hard Drive
- Toshiba DVD Drive

Other items:
- Wall mounted Asus 24" Full 1080p HD Gaming Monitor
- Logitech G25 Steering Wheel
- Logitech X-230 Speakers
- Logitech Multimedia Keyboard
- Gigabyte Gaming Mouse
- Sony PS3 with HDMI cable (Flick a button on the monitor and I can switch between PC/PS3)

Took a while to save enough to sort it all out, but I'm really happy with it. It was also my first own built PC, which made it extremely rewarding when turning it on for the first time. Saved a good couple of hundred quid in the process! Ignore the PSU facing upwards aha. Having a wall mounted monitor has improved my gaming loads as well, as my head is in exactly the right position for cockpit views on all sims. (I'm quite tall aha!) In the future I may get a gaming seat etc, but for now this does the job really nicely :-)

Cheers!
