I'm trying to load 2006 Engine sound pack from GP4db.com and a little confused with installlation.

I open Sample Editor 1.6 and Extract the game_snd.bnk folder to new folder.
I add 100 & 110-low and 102 & 112-Empty files.
I add the sound of choise e.g. McLaren.
Then simply update the game_snd.bnk file, I see the file size increase.

When I start the game the engine sounds in the Pits are correct but when you driving sounds more like a UFO :-)

Not sure what the read me means when it says load 100&110-low to slots 100 and 110, would that mean I have to delete the existing 100 and 110 file. I tried a few combinations but not luck.

Any help is appreciated:-)

When the game_snd.bnk file is extracted I see a list of sound files 0-250. The 2006 files to add read: 100&110-low and so on, does this mean I have to rename the file to 100 and to 110 and the delete those slots before adding?

This is the readme:

3. Load 100 & 110-Low.wav from Engine sounds folder to slots 100 and 110,
also 102 & 112-Empty.wav to slots 102 and 112.

4. Load sound files, example BMW sounds from Engine sounds/BMW-Sauber folder to slots 101,103,111 and 113.
(If you want Mclaren engine sounds, load samples from Mclaren folder to slots 101,103,111 and 113.)

5. Copy files from EngineData-JCaranti-Physics/Preset1,2 & 3 folders to ..Grand Prix 4/Samples/EngineData/Preset... folders

This sounds like I have to load the same file twice.

if your using csm then i have no idea how that works tbh, but normally all you would have to do is replace the samples and thats it
