GPG Nations Cup......Lost interest in gp4 now so i dont want to run this no more

I would also be more interested if we had custom teams instead of nations as i think people would be more commited. Also if we adopted a different perf system where we get points for results rather than just choosing randomly would be a better idea imo

what about leaving it as nations, but not needing nationality affected names, all you need is a grandparent or something to be that nationality
however 1 car teams would be interesting, just i cant paint or anything like that to make it...

How about we keep the Nations idea but ask Maikel if we can use his latest shape
That way we have a fresh start away from the origins of this series
Also maybe restrict the running to only 22 cars

i agree with a lot of the points, apart from the losing the nations. I would maybe relax it so that multiple cars are allowed for a nation (up to a maximum maybe) since it is the nations aspect which makes this competition unique. However, i know in the original guise, China was my 3rd choice (i'm actually english, and Japan was my 2nd choice - both were taken). And yeah, i'd get rid of the driver name rule.

i would go for some fresh stuff,something that hasn't still been used for a league.that's why i proposed the f1 93 cars(obviously only one of the released one should be used),but we can use also one of the most recent cars(but no 2006-2007-2008 carswe want something easy to paint

On reading the GPGSL rules (so that we don't copy the whole thing), i have the following suggestions:
One car per owner. Must be themed on a nation (can be your home country, or can be a country you want to live in etc)
Carshape is at discretion of car owner (must be in the public domain - no modifications - preferrably one with a template!). Car perfs would be all the same.
Livery must be themed to the nation being represented. Sponsor logos... maybe. possibly ONLY allow companies that are based in the nation of choice...
Performance. Obviously, this is the main point of how the strategy works. I did quite like the idea of having a total amount of points to spend, and then strategically planning them out. I suggest a potential expansion on this - how about we have a base perf level (same for everybody), but then, instead of having a certain number of expendible points per race, we have a set number for the whole season, which must be added to the base amount. Obviously, a maximum limit should be set, otherwise, it could get ridiculous! I'd set the 'spendable amount' so that it averages out as something sensible - like 50 per session if you used them equally or something like that.
The way i could see this developing, is, say Driver A spends all his points early in the season, while driver B holds some back.. potentially driver A could build up a lead, but then have to run the last few races at base performance level (or not much higher than base) because he has no points left. Driver B, however could spend some of his points to close the championship gap... just a potential scenario.
Thoughts chaps (and chapesses?)???

the whole nations stuff is good, what makes this series this series
personally i would prefer no sponsors, but i guess a couple would be fine
carshape would have to be restricted in some way for me as it would be odd to see a mclaren 2010 with shark fin etc along side a 1990's senna-esque car, just wouldnt feel the same, or is that just my unitelligent view of car-shape?
performance wise thats an interesting idea, gives it more of a tactical choice side to it, have to be some sort of cap otherwise someone will spend all their points on the first race, but i like it

what about dropping the cars with shark fins then?
90's cars looks quite close to 2009's ones(apart the ones with the shark fin) in my opinion
