If you have the original CD, why dio you need the no-cd patch?

(Yes, crucify me, I beg for it!)

I use No CD patches to keep my CD's in mint condition and to cut down on the work involved in taking the CD out of the case and placing it in the CD-ROM drive (I'm lazy). They are perfectly legal so why not use them?

Yes. Most of us here do use a "no-cd patch" so we can mod the game, with all the nice utils and so on. However, the EXE has to be treated in such a fashion that the code is intact, while to copy protection is removed. Therefore we call it a "decrypted exe".

I dunno about you guys, but when I look for a fixed exe, I seldom do it for a program that I *cough* purchased *cough*... speaking hypothetically of course.

It might very well be that you meant it the right way, David Watson. And I am certainly willing to let you get the benefit of the doubt. But "decrypted exe" is preferable in future requests. We tend not to take too kind to those that try to get patches and editors to work with less legal versions of the game.

I thought that No CD patches and Decrypted ones were the same, sorry about that.

Yes i have purchased Grand Prix 4, All my games are purchased. As I said before the only reason I use them is to keep the games I have brought in mint condition.

I'm still waiting for the "don't need the legal store-bought CD" no-cd patched .exe. Hopefully it will be decrypted too so I can use the editors.
Hehehe.
