GP4 on a P4 2.53 with ATI 9700 PRO

i take it thats all at full res, but 6 x FSAA? and wot FPS u get? looks wicked btw

Knowing moden video cards 16x fsaa wouldnt slow it down

It's 1600x1200 at full detail and he gets 45 fps

I get close to that with a P2 2.4ghz 512mb 333ddr ram Geforce2mx400 64mb 29:83 dets, my res is 1024x etc

But the new ATI card has some compatability problems........ Plus the new Nvidia card is just around the corner................

because you are running at a lower res...

So do new nvidia cards when they just come out. it'll take some time for the drivers to be backwards compatible to older games. can't wait until the new nvidia card is released though. don't know if it'll top the 9700 though overall. interesting times ahead. the 9700 has already dropped over 100 AUD. I'm waiting for the AIW version before I get one...

You can bet your bottom socks off the new NVidia card will be quicker. They say there aiming for Monsters Inc. quality in real time, which should be impressive. Dunno if they'll manage that though. The only thing in ATI's favour is the price though... NVidia stuff is expensive
