difficulty level question

hi everybody!
a little question... is it possible to modify the difficulty levels?
because if a chose "professionist", it is too easy to overtake cars and win races.
but if I chose "ace", it's IMPOSSIBLE to win, because the other cars are too much faster.
thanks for your help

bye!

tbh if you're somewhere between pro and ace i'd suggest to drive the races on ace level and accept loosing your first races. you will get better every race till you're able to fight for wins. additionally you could do some setup to get faster.it's much more fun that way imo.

well.... I know, I know :) but I think I'm quite expert in driving GP4, because I starded 3 years ago :)
If i drive GP4 with original 2001 mod, in ace level I can be always in the first positions and win some races.
But now I'm into 1995 mod, and even with Benetton (the fastest car of the game), i can't win any race in ace level... it's impossible to equal the performances of Williams or Ferrari.
So my question was: what can I do to bring the ace level and take it easier? :)

sorry for my english...

thanks :)

you must download cmagic4. where? i don't know if i can put a link here. maybe you have cmagic4 in the folder Circuits. When you have cmagic4 extract magic datas from S1CTXX.DAT (also in the folder Circuits). and you have this text file (in red values for levels: grip and power. + more difficult). changes values and put magic data in S1CTXX.DAT.

Editing magic datas affects ALL cars' performance, so you won't be any faster.

To make your car faster, just do what n00binio already said: Edit your own setups for your car.
It's the only way.
Also will make you understand GP4 in a higher degree and enjoy it even more.
You may well improve your modding skills by starting with your own car !!! ;-)

4/1/2007 1995 Mod
=======================================================================

Title : 1995 F1 Championship Mod
Version : 1.0
Author : Fongu, Tony ... the 1995 Mod Team
ON the net : [www.grandprixx.com]

=======================================================================
* OVERVIEW *
=======================================================================

CTDP released a 1995 mod in the early GP4 days, and Fongu started
updating it a few years ago.
The final version is now almost ready, and every aspect of the mod has
changed greatly so its much more than just an update to the CTDP mod.

Some of the main features of the mod:
- all 13 teams
- all 35 drivers
- track specific car changes - over 70 in all
- track specific liveries - over 80 in all
- over 100 car variations in all!
- NT and other special or one off helmets
- track specific pit crews - almost 30 in total + marshalls
- different physics for each team - the better teams can be harder to
drive, so be careful!

- post season subset resembling the 1996 line ups
- team specific pit props
- track specific performance data
- full use of CSM's latest features

I don’t know about you guys. I would be very proud given the opportunity to drive a Minardi.
Fongu and friends probably spent a huge amount of time on the physics.

I realize Zolf that English is not your first language however I thought I should point this out.

Use Gp4 Editor, open the performance file and increase AI car performance as needed.

I’ve been meaning to try the 1995 mod for a while now thank you for prompting to do so, it was a lot of fun.

And the simple answer to your question:

Go to CSM run through the mod configurables - Launch TSM –Manage tracks click on the track you want example monza go to Magic Data at the top and at the bottom of the screen go to Ace grip factor, change it to 482 or less to achieve the same as Pro level.

Just by the way I was able to stay with the Benetton at ace level driving a Mclaren the Benetton was a little quicker down the straight.
I hope this helps.
