Help! Strange message bar at screen's top

Somehow, I have ended up getting the message bar showing at all times when driving in GP4. I must have changed a setting or something to get that bar. Just wondering if any of the GP4 brains can tell me the inevitable simple solution to get rid of the message bar, circled in red on the screenshot...

As mortal said, 0 should do it. I think you get it by pressing 1, 2 or 3, can't remember off the top of my head.

Where'd you get the Lotus?

0 should indeed do it, @mal: shift+l is to get rid of the text at the bottom of the screen containing plank wear etc.

as for the Lotus Ho3n3r; it's on the first page, you just needed to look a little further [www.grandprixgames.org]
