MPR Season 5 Announcement

Dan: Hey everyone and welcome to this end of season press conference. We have a number of announcements to make regarding the team next year.

First I'd like to thank Marko Aleksander for three seasons of work at the team. Everything he has done for the team has been hugely appreciated, and we hope he enjoys TSS next season. We have come a long way together and he leaves as possibly one of the top driver in the series, with us as one of the top two teams. Thanks again Marko. Next I'd like to thank Rodrigo Vilela who has driven brilliantly since joining the team. I'm really happy to see him get a race drive that he has always wanted and I wish him luck for his future.

With the guys who are leaving out of the way I'd like to move onto speaking about the future of the team. MPR are pleased to announce that Monil Santilal will be staying with the team for a third season. Monil has driven fantastically this year, with a couple of wins, and has helped our push in the Constructors Championship. We may have missed out this year but we hope onil and his new team mate can take us to that number one step.

And now to announce Monil's team mate for next season. He is know around the paddock as a play boy, and with that what better team to join than MPR. We are happy to announce our new signing for season five will be Matt Houston. Matt is currently top of the Drivers Championship and we hope he can bring that No.1 to MPR next season. Good luck Matt at Silverstone.

We are also pleased to announce the signing of the American Randy Winston as a test driver. Randy was looking for a new challenge following selling his team Lucky Seven and hopes he can improve at MPR. We look forward to seeing how he will do in the Test Drivers Championship next season. Also I will continue at the team as a test driver next season, hopefully I can continue to give my experience to help the team out racing while still being able to concentrate on my role as Team Manager.

In the team department we will continue once again with Lancia as engine supplier, and Martini will also continue to sponsor the team. We are still chasing some sponsors for next season, but can confirm the renewal of all our sponsors for next year.

Thanks and roll on Season 5

Cheers

How does this work? Can you drive your own car with the other AI or is it only watching?
Every car is AI, but its based on performances, boosts etc. Read page 1 ;)

"I'd like to thank Dan for this truly epic opportunity to be testing with such a top team. I look forward to bringing my pedigree as a tester to the team, and I hope to move us even further than we have been before. I've been around world class caliber of driver throughout my career, and this is as good as it gets. Santilal and Houston are brilliant drivers, and I hope to learn as much as I can from them. It should be a great challenge dueling with Dan in the tester's championship, and I hope it's a lonely feeling at the pointy end for us.

That being said, I'm here to win the last race for Lucky Seven, thanks to our massive can of kick-ass."

Race Day

Welcome back to Silverstone for the last race of the season. Weather forecaster said we would have a 75% chance of rain today, but so far we are rain free.

The World Drivers Championship is finely balanced. Both Marko Aleksander and Nick van der Voort need to score 12 points more than leader Matt Houston, which means they both have to finish at least 2nd and hope Matt doesn't any score points. Matt on the other hand only needs to finish 9th or higher to clinch the title.

There are also many final drives today, too numerous to mention.

So, the pork pie crumbs have been swept away and the race director is about to push the go button!

GO! GO! GO!

Greenhalgh and Santilal get off to a great start.

Matt Houston in 3rd.

Marko Aleksander 7th.

Nick van der Voort struggling in 11th.

Santilal challenging for the lead.

Aleksander going for 6th.

And gets it!

Cartwright has a little lock up.

van Smirren in a spin.

Re-joins last as Matt Houston sets the fastest lap.

Ingers loses yet another place this time to Grant.

Cartwright and his can of whoop-ass.

Not that it does any good as he is passed by Rick Groeneboer.

van Smirren has another off!

40 laps to go.

Houston catching Santilal.

Can he keep him at bay for Marko to catch up?

Matt Houston up ito 2nd.

Groeneboer on a flyer tries to take Aleksander.

And gets the position.

Warrington right behind his future team boss Ingers.

He's tapped him!

And comes off worse.

Warrington still holds on to 13th

Two by two as Nick continues to struggle.

10 laps done, it's looking good for Houston, he only needs 9th!

Stay tuned!

He takes the lead as the first drops of rain start to fall.

Conditions worsening.

But down at Luffield its dry.

It's foggy out!

Houston is first to pit.

Matt changes to inters, but is it too early?

It maybe an inspired choice looking at the conditions.

Santilal takes inters too.

Has Marko hung on to his slicks for too long?

Wow! Santilal as clipped that kerb a bit hard!

Ouch!

Houston back in the lead

Winston now 2nd.

Groeneboer 3rd.

Greenhalgh 4th.

van het Bolscher 5th.

Aleksander 6th.

25 laps to go.

Groeneboer 2nd

Grant runs wide.

Time for another break me thinks!

Oakley spins trying to take van der Voort

Top 4 leaving it late to stop.

Houston not hanging about he takes 4th from Aleksander.

Or does he?

Rick dives for the pits.

Aleksander in the pits. Slicks?

Houston now 3rd.

First 3 yet to stop.

Winston finally pits.

Ed Greenhalgh still not pitting.

Dry line developing as Houston chases down Greenhalgh

Aleksander struggling on his slicks.

4 laps to go and Ed still hasn't stopped.

van der Voort going backwards.

Last lap!

Marko Aleksander 6th

Nick van der Voort 17th
