yes matt, you are quite right. When I started (2 years ago) I took original f1ch texture to learn how to map.
I painted in this order williams, jordan and partially arrows using these textures, replacing some logo with hi-res ones.
These cars are not so good because of low-res texture and beacuse of lack of experience in mapping.
Then I tried mapping with hi-res textures made by myself, so it was with benetton (with some help from prblanco 2001 benetton texture), minardi and prost. These last cars are not bad in my opinion but still very far from the great hi-quality standard this community gets everyday. And I never learned how to manage alpha layer well! For these reasons I don't think these cars deserve more attention.
But, as I said, my problem seems to be lack of time not only to continuing in learnig but also to complete this work.
That's why I decided to post this message, to give my work a chance to be finished...and played! I don't play gp4 since decades because the few time I got is spended only to finish this project....and I can't see the end.
