Anyone using TVout? I'm getting really good results on a Geforce2MX40064mb with TVTool1.5, I really only watch replays on it tho as the wheel is not in front of the telly yet. MOHAA and FS2002 is good on it although hard to see some of the snipers in MOHAA. Haven't tested RTCW and RF yet. The res doesn't appear to be as sharp as a monitor or a PS2 which is a bit of a shame really.

Tell me your TV max resolution and Htz

How old are you? Do you want to bet I'm older? We can arrange a vis-a-vis discussion if you agree.

If you are joking I laugh,if you are serious we can arrange a vis-a-vis meeting.

Yes,with such devices tou can reach high resolutions but without them you can't go above 640X480 like PS2.

-----Los sistemas de televisión normales tienen una resolución mucho más baja que las típicas señales de computación. --------

------Normal TVs have got a much lower resolution than typical computation signals.....If I can translate well from spanish..similar to italian....:) ---------

Thanks Nuno

You cannot talk about normal TVs if you do not specify which standards you are talking about:

- NTSC, used in North and Central America and Japan
- PAL, a German-invented system used in most of Europe, Africa, Australia, and South America
- SECAM, used in France (its inventor), eastern Europe, and Russia

NTSC ("National Television System Committee" - some unkind people rather say it stands for "Never The Same Color";) has 525 lines of resolution to the picture, whereas PAL (Phase Alternating Lines) has 625 plus an improved color system to get more consistent hues. SECAM ("Systeme Electronique Couleur Avec Memoire";) originally reached 900 lines in black and white. In colour, however, they reduced the resolution to 625 lines as well.

Other facts:

subcarrier frequency:
NTSC: 3,58Mhz
PAL: 4.43MHz
Secam: 4.25/4.40MHz

fps:
NTSC: 29.97/59.94
PAL: 25/50
SECAM: 25/50

aspect ratio:
4:3 with all three systems

Other standards:

PAL-M
SECAM-M
D-MAC
PALplus
HiVision

HiVision: 60/120 fps, 16:9 aspect ratio

No,I'm right.

PS2 games are super-developed and optimized for a common HW platform.

PS2 works only on max 640X480. I know it's very strange to admit because graphic output it's impressive, but it just like that.

Hint: --- take a deep look at your PS2 images on TV,there are lot of poligons, amazing graphic etc...but you will never see tiny images like....Red Alert soldiers at 1280 on pc.

U keep mentioing PS2 and not anything else

"S2 works only on max 640X480. I know it's very strange to admit because graphic output it's impressive, but it just like that."

That means NOTHING about a "normal" TV

Maximum resolution for PAL system (the one used here in Europe) is 768*576.
That's the number of pixels on TV screens (you can count them if you whish).
For techincal reasons however broadcasts are at 720*576.
FPS are 25 (50 interlaced).
So this is a physical limit. I don't know how far can go PS2, for sure no more than allowed by the number of pixels.

Yeah, TV FPS looks better than it is cos it blends the frames into each other - nice :D

It's known that PS2 works even on older color tv ->

Older color tvs maximum resolution was 640*480 ->

PS2 works maximum 640*480.

Maybe some newer tvs allows higher resolutions, but as Paolo said not more than a " old " 768*756.Very far from pc's monitor outputs.

To be honest I don't care what tvs can do this ( Sony,Philips etc ) my original thought was referring only on PS2 max resolution.
