There are 2 Singapore tracks WIP:

One by Gigi4 and Pimpones: [tmp.grandprixgames.org]

And another one by Gildoorf: [f1virtual.blogspot.com]

I believe the one by Gildoorf will be based on the 2009 version of the track, not the 2008 version. This year, there are some modifications to Turn 1, 2 and a few others.

How come this Singapore track is taking so long to finish. I remember last year seeing photos of its WIP with fantastic buildings/surroundings but then it went quiet. I know Pimpones and Gigi4 are reviving and leading the way to finishing this track and I hope it will be very soon.

Thanks for these precisions. Others modifications on turn 13 and 14. Maybe the track will be finished and soon to be released after the Singapore GP... It would be a nice surprise ;o)

@ Mangrove: Probably because they want to improve the track, for the reasons SchueyFan said and also because they have worked on other projects since a long time that they want to finish... and because they have got a personal life, too ;o)
Patience...

@ Mangrove - i think the one you are talking about is the one by pimpones. For some reason, that project stopped, but he is now working with gigi4 on a new version.

They must also make sure that they put sign for Nelson to crash on lap 14 and that takes a lot of time to do ;)

Project was stopped because i had to remake the whole dat from scratch, as previous one was somehow corrupted (also backup file were, I'm so unlucky :-( ). I don't know if i will restart working on it, I'm at last year at high school so free time is not exactly what i have now...

I agree.

I don't agree.

Many of them are NOT done as they should be done.
Many tracks need a proper overhaul and that's what we are doing.
Singapur is not a job of some months...rather a year or more if you have a private life. Even updaing Monaco needs many months even though we have good base.
I prefer releasing 5 updated tracks than one Singapur track...the ratio 5:1 might be even realistic considering the required time.
Of course Singapur is being worked on, but progress is slow and this has its good reasons.

i'm working on this track too, and it's not easy to make a perfect and realistic track.dat and the .gp4 file is very hard too. For the F1Virtual Team is this easier than me, but i'm working on this track and my .dat is near to finish.
