I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

Yes there is.....did a bit more this arvo. Finished the welding and painted the frame matte black.

Cut and fitted the the floor and the top. The top is wider on one side for the keyboard and mouse.
To do. Cut a piece for the gear-shift and fit. Drill the holes and bolt on.
Drill the holes for the pedals and the wheel and bolt on to check the fit. Undercoat the top and the edges of the floor, paint matte black. Fit car carpet to the floor. Fit two shakers, one on the floor, one under the seat. Secure the wiring. Fit two speakers somewhere. Make a beverage holder. Fit the subbie amp, the sound amp and the comp, need to put a panel on the rear and on one side under the seat for that bit. I may enclose the front with some thin ply sheet as well. So far I have spent about $1200! That includes the comp and the graphics card upgrade, the two amps, the G25, the seat, two speakers, two bass shakers, materials and Richards labour.

Don't know if you can be bothered, but when I made mine I mounted the pedals upside down and moved the actual pedals around so it was like a real car.

That's interesting, I guess I'd have to open the case and move them or rewire them. I'll have a think about it.

Isn't it possible to just switch the pedals in the ingame options menu?

It is, but I moved and rewired, much better and more realistic imo.

yea, because of the resistence of the throttle and clutch not being swapped..

I dont get what you mean by putting the pedals in upside down, I know Mal is Australian but it should still be clutch, brake, accelerator yes?

Also I love the simulator, but you need to be able to move the seat forward for shorty pppl like me.

LOL, we still drive on the right here. In a car, the pedals usually hang from the firewall, so if the pedal set is turned upside down, it would simulate that, of course there would be some re-wiring involved. The seat has a slider rail, just like a car, that way those with 'ducks disease' (born with their arse too close to the ground) can drive it.
