yes, i made a Suzuka 2006 update which you can get either at the link posted above or at the link posted in my signature.

However, there is no Suzuka with the new layout (130R and Casio Triangle), but i'm sure this will be worked on after this year's race.

here is a basic track map showing the changes

2002:

2003:

unfortunately the Google Earth view of the track is covered by clouds over the first part of the track, so you can't see the chicane changes. the old one is still there, but the new one is earlier and tighter.

i will look for some better pictures of the changes

it has.

In fact, it's less tight than it used to be, and turn-in begins earlier.

Davide, check this from Paulo based on last changes for suzuka.

1. 130R has a wider ratio now
2. Chicane has a new layout, a bit longer than previous
3. And there are some changes for "snake" session as well.

Correction: Paulo has already "half-done" the changes on the turns :)

Details like track banking and elevation were not looked into.

So far all I could find on the 2009 Suzuka track is a new pit complex and repaved front straight.

thanks tero, the new pit complex looks great! it looks like they have invested a lot of money in upgrading the facilities

hopefully Suzuka can start hosting the Japanese GP every year again, with the rumours of Fuji ending their contract.
