nah i've tried psp7.4 and photoshop 7.1 but they don't wanna know..i don't use XP

no no no, you need a purpose built app

ok, the file format is this...


start of file = 1st load of data for the 1st pixel,

you then need to read each pixel off 1 after the other (in TRGBQuad Format, thats red blue green reserved, 4 bytes for 1 pixel)

repeat until at the end of the file, then display the image, to make sure you dont loose the alpha chanel you need to save as tga
