Seriously now. It is weird that you have so many problems with your drivers.
Can you post your system specs and email me your f1graphic.cfg?
I don't think it s a matter of drivers, but I can try to see if it can be riproduced.
Have you installed VIA chipset drivers?
Any overclock?
Which brand your Nvidia card?

It looks like the mipmap LOD to me.

A positive value in the LOD selection results in a smaller mipmap, that will produce much less aliased graphics, but the price you pay is that images are more blurred. This seems to be what is happening to you with the new drivers.

A negative value in the LOD selection results in a larger mipmap, which gives more clear graphics, but also increases the alias, making edges look jagged. That would seem to be the case of your old drivers.

Btw, a rule of thumb: the more positive the selection, the better the performance.

the latest version knackered up my game too, it keeps crashing to the desktop

i reinstalled my previous ones now

but i did notice a difference in performance when it was running in its short time
