2011 Physics (development to run under FIA 2011 regulations)

Posted by phantaman
Hi,

let me explain what this .g3p file is...

1) Low downforce/coefficient drag ratio;
2) X Y Z axis based on Sauber C29 aerodynamics;
3) Total Weight is now 640Kg;
4) Experimental calculations in CoG Height, braking force, weight distribution/center of pressure (FIA regulatory limit for 2011), old mechanical grip/downforce coefficient & flywheel;
5) Revised slick tires (lateral/longitudinal grip, slip angle, radius and weight based on new pirellis and spreadsheets (project RC365STB) coming from Cooper – Avon website;
6) Max Engine RPM not to exceed 18000RPM (FIA regulatory limit for 2009);
7) Pack has been tested on a standard gp4 install, w/ GP4 MOD 2011 by Mrmpleo and friends & also w/ GP4 MOD 2011 by GP4 Forever;
8) MagicData patch for standard & new tracks were included in this package;

Other experimental techniques and observations were also applied;

DOWNLOAD (MediaFire) => [www.mediafire.com]

remember that… don’t use this as a source for redistributed material and this pack has included a 2011 performance file (based on European Grand Prix F1).

If there are any questions please don't hesitate to contact me at:

[nxs.eti.br]

PS: if the magic-datas is modified, new calculations will be required in relation to the physics and performance... because they were not produced for (working with), OK? :p

no refueling can not be reproduced in grand prix 4, because this was not developed to... i think there is no minimal possibility.

for the moment all that you can do is use standard datas on new tracks. this has been done previously (by me). ;-)

It sounds really interesting.

yes sounds great, i want to test them :)

Is it to be used with v8 torque gp4.exe?

If physics are good, you don't need a V8 torque exe, as all the info about power, torque, center of inertia, etc, is all stored into the .g3p file :)
i am wondering why no one read the readme file (Decrypted Max Torque is optional)... is not necessary, OK? this stuff (2009 physics) was tested in a standard gp4 install before being released.

i'm waiting for more questions :0)

Sorry, i havent downloaded it yet (was at school) otherwise i would have read the readme file.

i dunno if it's the track or the physics but i have too much grip i'd say. doing a 1:23:xxx with 12 fuel laps on my second flying lap with the new physics at ttm's melbourne.

are you using his performance file as well?

nope i was using a personal perf file but with less bhp so that shouldn't be the problem. grip isn't related to the perf file anyway. i think the cornering speed is to high, that's why i suppose it could also be the track in combination with that physics file.

Well, maybe we should just try and compare performances with the real ones after the Australian GP to adjust the file ( if comparison is possible, just a suggestion)

I tried your physics, I like them but they are still a bit to fast, I'm doing low 1:22 laps at melbourne

also the car feels a bit understeery and I don't realy feel the oversteer these cars should have

overall good physics, I'de love to test any updates you make :)

obviously new calculations will be required in relation to the magic-datas and performance... because they were not produced for (working with it), OK? and as i was said the combination (this physics with high track grip) can produce these discrepancies :p

Just tried with your perf and physics on 2007 TTM Melbourne.
Did qualy lap with keyboard and default setup, chose second best car,(power team dependant) did 1:19,5, but Rosberg set pole with 1:17,7. Grips is high at that track,but still physics seem little too strong.
The car as far I can judge from keyboard is stable, leaning towards oversteering.

well ... don't know what the conditions of these tests because i know that in a default installation, with default setup and using this pack a result confirmed by the hofxlap tool is (of course if i use the standard gp4 performance a lap time will be much smaller - i think it could be the magic data of your track... too much grip and etc...):

Dunno if its your physics but at the start of the race the cars grind to a halt (almost) at the first corner, its really annoying and unrealistic, any suggestions on what I can do, is it the physics?

hmmmmmmm.....Scarlett Johansson......
and the most important ... which track? :p
