best way to convert tga to tex

ok the topic says it all.
BTW texeditor 2.0 with batch converter plugin by James Knopp doesn't work like it should. I try to convert a visor (tga format) to tex but I get the wrongsize in mipmaps (should be 120 for mipmap1 instead I get 0)
