A guy called "Rubinho" gave us this tip, and it works excellent in game!
just try it:

Open your f1graphics.cfg file in your 'Grand Prix 4' folder and change the following lines:

0 ; Enable user-defined gamma ramp v2
change to
1 ; Enable user-defined gamma ramp v2

and

131 ; Enable cockpit gamma 0 off,1 player for all, 2 player for player only, 3 driver specific. Bit 7 (only when visor on) v2
change to
3 ; Enable cockpit gamma 0 off,1 player for all, 2 player for player only, 3 driver specific. Bit 7 (only when visor on) v2

and

1 ; [MAIN VIEW] Draw lens flare (0 => off, 1 => 'real' camera views only, 2 => all views but cockpit, 3 => always)
change to
3 ; [MAIN VIEW] Draw lens flare (0 => off, 1 => 'real' camera views only, 2 => all views but cockpit, 3 => always)

you'll get that "little seconds for your eyes to get used" effect in game, in the tunnel of Monaco, for example ;)

I might add again that "this little moment your eyes need to get used to the tunnel" is something the drivers do not really experience. What we see on TV is quite different, since the camera lense is not as fast as the human eye if it comes to adopting changes. Most drivers say that it does not really look anything special going in and out of the tunnel.
(
Still any effort to enhance the graphics or make the game more realistic is appreciated.)

(Comming to think about it, better NOT.)

Print screen button is just under the steering wheel. No not there, thats the handbrake - left a bit, bit more, bit more. Up, up again - there!
