ramblings?

17fps isnt perfect, but its quite playable. Not that I can talk....I get 18fps on gp3 2000!

"ramblings?"

go into any thread bout MS and you will see

17 fps is very very playable, i used to get 15fps on GP3, and i was still setting times good enough for pole position on ace mode!

17fps is very poor performance, you should be able to get better than that. I have mine set to 40fps at 1024 with a 32mb GF2MX and it has stands, bridges, shadows, bump mapping on. Here's a screenshot

ahh true - I still keep em off. They smack the PO sky high and with the track map on you can see how far behind you someone is.

I'd like to have seen reduced texture detail in mirrors for gp4....like in gp3 2000, as it cuts the po hit well.

I reduced the detail slightly, but the track map is unrealistic and arcade like, whilst the mirrors are realistic

thats why he doesnt use 32 bit textures at all.have a look at his file.....it doesnt include some essential stuff.u may get 60fps with it but the graphics suck compared to full.

Come on, its with a GF2 MX! I think its damned impressive....he gets 60fps with it looking good whilst others with GF4 Ti's often have it worse.

Exactly dude

I would rather have sweet graphics than fps. If i want fps, i play GP3 2000
