Cars resolution question

Hello everybody! :)
I'd like to know... well... I have an old pc and if I install the 2008 cars (they're so "heavy";) the game runs slow... and it's impossible to play.
Is there a way to reduce the car texture quality before installing them? Because if the car textures are less resolution, maybe the game will run quite fast on my pc :)
Sorry for my bad english... thanks :)

go to realgpx.fr and look for a texture editor. You can use it to downsize the texture files to more bearable level, good luck!

unpacking from the WAD is the safest way I think :)
