I was trying to change some performance in the old modes, what does it mean those numbers exactly?...for example 14790 (and obviously a lot of numbers more)

Thanks

Well it goes likes this:

Name=ferrari,
Performance=856,872,3513
First Driver=1,michael schumacher,15725,0,15772,0

Name=ferrari,
Performance= 856= this is hp of the car in the race, 872= this is hp of the car in Qualy,3513= this is the reliability, the lower the more reliable the car will be.
First Driver=1,michael schumacher,15725= this is his abilty in the race, the higher the faster he will be,0= this is the variance in his abilty, if it is 0 then the driver will be very consistent in his times, the higher the variance the more inconsitent he will be,15772= his ability in Qualy,0= his variance in Qualy.

Hope it's clear buddy, and if I am wrong in something then someone please correct me.

Here goes, the first number you see from left to right is the ability of the driver in the race, meaning that a driver with a value of 16550 will be faster in the race than a driver with a lower value. The second number in this case 100, is the variance or consistency of the driver, for example it would mean that the driver could have a value of 16450 or 16650 or anything in between for the race. The other two numbers are the same as the ones I explained but they measure the ability of the driver for the qualy session.

That's about it, hope this helps you as well.

Thank you very much (again)absolutely clear

In gp3edit there is list with percentages in the right, depending the drivers' performances. I am a little bit confused, about how we can calculate these values. For example, I think tests in Monza (in-game)are good for simulating the engine BHP. But how can we calculate drivers' performances and their ability ranges? For example, i have the real best Q and R times for all drivers in every season. How can I calculate engines bhp and all drivers' values? Convert the real deal to this 16000 thing (I think these are revs actually!!!).

Well, I made some changes in those values and the starting grid and the race reault were as I wanted, I mean the driver positions, fastest laps, final results, it really worked, the other thing is that even if the driver is good in Qualy or race a lot of he performance depends on the HP that the car´s got. For example in the 1990´s a driver with 156000 in a Williams renault could be a lot faster than a driver with 159000 in a Jordan.

I understand that, but how we can transform the real values to gp3edit units???
And in 90, there was no Jordan, 91 was the first Jordan's year! :)

I meant 91,94,95 (and 93 cars)...and what numbers do you see in gp3edit?, Write as I did that performance and maybe somebody can help you

I'll give an example in what I would like to know.
Some fictional for example qualifying results:
Grand Prix A:
1.John 1:18,935
2.Michael 1:19,054
3.Tom 1:19,136
4.Andrew 1:19,356

Grand Prix B:
1.John 1:30,152
2.Andrew 1:30,254
3.Tom 1:30,499
4.Michael 1:30,680

Grand Prix C:
1.Tom 1:22,548
2.Michael 1:22,632
3.John 1:22,847
4.Andrew 1:22,853

Tom and John's cars have 800hp
Michael's 790hp
Andrew's 780hp

How can we find the performance and the ability range for these 4 drivers?

As for the "variance" value, well that is the range the performance can vary in..so for example..
16550,100
means that the actual value will be between 16450 and 16650!
I don't know if this is exactly what you meant, Robitussin!..

Yes, I asked and ROBITUSSIN JR. helped me a lot, very clearly and thank you, Kimiraik, for explain me too, but I dont understand what JohnMalisianos is asking....

Well Johnn I don't know if you are trying to find the ability values of the drivers in a mod or in the orginal game, but if it's in a mod there should be a folder that contains all the performance data in it. And if what you want is to know exactly what are the values that each driver has to have to achieve a desired laptime, the only thing you can do is to keep testing with different values till you get the desired laptimes. I dont know any other way but maybe there's a program that calculates laptimes for each track based on different performance values,I dunno.

Well, you are almost there. I try to convert real-life times of a national championship to values FOR the game. So, that's why I posted some times and I would to like to know how we can find the performance and the ability range!

You have to keep editing the performances files for each track till you get the desired laptimes, just time accelerate the sessions and keep trying different values. It can be tiresome though, but this is the only way I know.

Ok. I got this one. Thank you. :)
But what about the grip range in the example times I wrote above?

Well I am afraid I know as much as you do about that, I just know that you would have to tweak with the magic data of each track throught TSM, surely somebody around here has to know, I think.
