Ok, basically to make things easier:

a) It's a conversion/edit not made for profit.
b) Quality of work is on par with original material.
c) Original author must be contacted for permission, if he/she can't be reached then also make sure to follow point "d".
d) Due extensive credit is to be given in a proper "readme.txt" file, listing all sources where material was taken from.
e) You acknowledge your work is also subject to modding, and these rules will be applied to the modder.
f) Editing 99% of something still means it's not from scratch.

When we did the race07 conversion of the fbmw mod and f3000, the read me said it was a conversion and we thanked simbin for it. Also theres lots of cars converted from other games, like the 97 cars, yet seems people didnt bitch about those, cant see the difference tbh as long as the company who made the game get the credit in the read me as we've always done.

Lee, you convert those things mighty well, it just seems to be some personal unresolved issues that started this flaming battle for a few pages. I wrote the things in this page and last page that seemed most logic and that made sense to the subject. No one will profit from this, in the money sense, only emotionally, so what's wrong with it? It is a conversion of something in an old game to another old game, neither of which are on sale and can't be called direct competition to whatever will come next.

It's not like GTR 2 and rFactor. Even then, though you might get the cars and tracks in rFactor, you can't get the experience from GTR 2 with working AI, weather, pits... Actually, with that said, please make this come out for rF and/or GTR 2 !

2002 csm template 98% including csm config menu with all drivers changes
such as Heinz Harald Frentzen that drove for arrows from beggining of season till before Hungary race and then he drove in indianapolis where he replaced
Felipe Massa.
Team Arts (grid cars, team logos, drivers pictures),
loading screens, perf files, physics done.
Tweaker added to erase the arrows team from Hungary till end of the season.

Working on track specific Gpaedia.

Everything ive ever done has had permission, all you gotta do see the read me,s. I also doubt the 97 cars were converted with permission from the original company,amongst a lot of other gp4 stuff. Im pretty sure the bmw08 was made by ISI and i doubt the people who converted it had permission either but tbh i dont really know or care for that matter. So call me a loser all you want your opinion means nothing to me. I dont even play gp4 anymore i just make a few bits and bobs for it i can always find something else to do and leave you to find someone else to bitch about.

BMW Sauber 2008 was a collaboration between ISI and MMG.

Raymond Schram modeled the official BMW Sauber for MMG before it was scooped up by ISI.

And we all know that there is few people who have permission to convert MMG stuff for GP4.
