32MB cards-Try these settings

Resolution - 800*600*16 (this seems to be the key really )

Car geom - High
Track geom - High
Texture - Med 16 bit

Main view - Trackside objects
Frame rate - 30

Advance lighting - On
Enviroment maps - Static
Bump mapping - On
Reflections - High
Shadows - Highest

I found myself that a lower track geom really helps framerates a lot, along with putting eviro maps to off. Just a personal tip

those settings match up pretty good with mine, although it differs from computer to computer. This surely isn't the right setting if your computer is "top notch"...
