Cockpit view too dark

I have a problem in my modded GP4. I realized the GP4 original view looks brighter in the cockpit. I want more sunshine like GP4 original. f1graphics.cfg in both the same. Is such dark look normal in a modded GP4 or it's only me? Any solution? See examples below.

It's not only this track, Interlagos also. T-Cam screen below.

ok, do the following: use original gp4 but insert the new monza track you have. make a screenshot and compare. it is the track.

yep, track has been designed to be less colourfull, less vivid than the original game, because it tends to match reality with darker tones.

It's the track I think.

yeah, I always have to bright it and contrast it up.

How do you do this?

Surely you are thankful, it looks better - the original gp4 tracks are heavily oversaturated and therefore look really cartoony ;)

Yes, original tracks are heavily oversaturated and it's my fault that my tracks are so dark. :) It's also difficult to add a right kind of brightness etc to textures, because we all use different brightness and contrast etc values with our monitor.

I believe my TFT is good calibrated. GP4 original might be oversaturated a bit, thats's true. But I prefer a brighter lightning cuz it looks more sunshining at all. Compare other race games, it doesn't look that dark. As I said Interlagos is the same.

I changed the Gamma settings in the f1graphics.cfg and it looks much better to me now.

after

do you run dynamic environment maps? Your reflections look real nice on screens

No, I have dynamic envmaps disabled cuz on some tracks it is just unreal such strong reflection but looks nice sometimes. I use a bigger Environment map strength instead. It is more decent the reflection.

I like a brighter circuit also.

What DID you change to get the lighter looking environment?

@fongu

In the f1graphics.cfg

Reflect effect (0 => none-very sharp reflections): 0
Environment map strength (0=>use game default): 70 (I recommend a value between 60-80)
[MAIN VIEW] Max number of dynamic envmaps to use (1 to 22(!), 0=>off - for advanced carshader only) v3: 0

@Jagdpanzer:

Enable cockpit gamma for all: 1
Cockpit Gamma ramp for Reds (max value): 210
Cockpit Gamma ramp for Greens (max value): 210
Cockpit Gamma ramp for Blues (max value): 210

A higher value will make it brighter. I will upload my newest f1graphics.cfg end of the week.
