a friend of me noticed this video:

" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

the sound is perfect, but the video is most prolly edited with a real lap sound around the track, altough if it was real, would be so great :P

Rodrigo, this sound is the real sound of a F1, taken to Magny-Cours... As phantaman says sound isn't synchronized with the image. I Guess this is the video from F1Live...Great video but not real ;)

To me, Lee's 2007 engine sound is the best but I have not tested Team BPR and T.J. ambiance pack.

hmmm .. each sound pack sounds diff when changing car´s rpm... every pack i tried with 20.000rpm sounds crap.. so its almost impossible to compare sounds considering we all use diff rpm.
the pack wich sounds really cool running o 18.500 rpm, sounds crap when running 20.000rpm

Rodrigo007 already recognized that and he posted his thought right after the clip :)

gp4 does not sound good with anything over 17500 rpm, thats why i made all my sounds to match that, anything over that and the sounds are flat and pretty much awful no matter how much the torque is adjusted,it still sounds really bad

The best GP4 sound -granted not for F1 - is from the Champ Car mod 05/06!!
That one is something else.(Y)

Yeah, Lee, great job!
Is it possible to implement into a existing (personallly customized) F1 mod?
it's not released as a single file, is it?

you could but it would take some editing the text files to match the f1 physics and to be honest it wouldnt sound that good at those hi revs, plus i added the turbo sound in the lower revs which f1 cars dont have..i watched a lot of champ car vids to get the sound as close as i could within gp4's crappy limits..

No never released it,and seeing as everyone uses different physics the downshift sounds would cut in at different times.
