Load Times long??

Hello everyone, its been a long time since I decided to start up GP4, but I'm having lots of fun. My one main problem is that my load times seem to be much longer then i remember them being, and everytime i exit the car whether it is to change setup, or go to the next session it has to load all over again. I was just wondering if there is a way to speed it up. I don't care about it loading once, but loading again everytime I press exit is crazy.

If you updated the game thats why, larger tex file's and the polie count on the cars, and I'm sure other thing's I missed, will cause it to get longer.

to get loading times shorter, you could try:

Turning off mirrors
Turning off lods
2D rims, not 3D

The only really trick that gets your loading time 15x faster is to make sure in your graphic file you have set this line to 1, try it out and you'll see that it goes much faster then before. A track load with me in less then 10 sec.

Line in Graphic file to edit and set to 1 is the following one:

1 ; Full 32bit textures

or if you run the game at a hi spec, get rid of the car textures which do not have the line "hi_" before them

alternatively, get a new computer

that option is amazing wind changed. really works. i test this wind bigbrother tell-me.

I wondered if you have a sata drive does it shorten the loading a lot? how much?
original cars.wad takes me 4-5 sec to load on my ide drive

well sata with original wad will only give you a second, if you have a wad of 300 mb for example it won't be more then 5 seconds faster.
