@Martin: good to hear about barcelona and sakhir! Are they 2008 version I´ve changed?

@Maverick, please feel free to start singapore if you want... Paulo´s version is not a definitive one, and I´ve started creating buildings all around. It would be very nice to see your job there.

About tutorial, HOW-TO step-by-step guides made by Paulo at www.f1virtual.blogspot.com are really nice to read and translate. It would be nice to see something like that. Here my choices for subjects:

1. How to set flags on a dat file

2. How to map banks and verges

3. How to create new textures (TGA and TEX)

4. How to create magic files

5. How to create a set of cameras

6. How to avoid CTDs ( A big role of possible failure while creating a track during .dat, .gp4, .col and bin stages)

Best regards...

It´s an honor to have you back on this community.

I believe Maverick did his track choice already...

Anyway, it could be great to also speak about :

7. how to use fence builder to create landscape or track layout conformed geometry (easiest example is a tyrewall with front, top and rear sides)

8. Maybe something about dealing with track altitude, at creation through multiple sector window or after with track profiler

9. How to set wet and dry areas in .bin files (an easy task)

10. How works HD settings (what's good and bad with them, the importance of keeping settings for .dat, .gp4 and .bin)

Hi mate,
Barcelona is in my hands now and Paulo still is working on Sakhir (slowly).

As said within the next two weeks I cannot do anything for GP4 but after that I am having my last lectures of this semester and I will have free time again to finish Barcelona.
After that I will wait for Paulo for sending me Sakhir.
Seems that we are all very busy these days ;-) but personal life comes first as you know :)

'How to build land with 3DSMax and/or how to edit land in 3DSMax, build with fence builder in GP4 Builder' would be a very nice feature for the updated track editing guide.

Mainly because creating land around the track makes it for me demotivating to carry on with my tracks.

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

It hasn't been going well. I am very short in time. I'm miles away from where i want to be at this time....
But it will get done. If not next week somewhere in the weeks after it.
