Here are results so far :
15.5 votes for a Guide (2)
9 votes for new features (1)
4 votes for anything else (5)
2.5 votes for other tools (3)
1 vote for the best Monaco track you will ever see in your life and nothing less (4)

There's only a little more than 4h30 before the finish line :)

PS: @Neoliot: ok, I changed your vote.

actually... if its possible... i prefer maverick's idea too... making the creation of a "living track" easier would be much better than making a full guide...

hmmn, hard question. but i saw you "split" the votes so i go for 1 and 4 .

I vote for 1, but have no clue which would be the best new feature, really.

A track editing tutorial would be nice, but there are some already around, unfortunately track editing just isn't a very easy learning process.

I vote for 5. I'd like to see the Valencia street track.

Lol, looks like it's gonna be a nice contest here :P
how about this, if enough people vote for new features then i will update my tutorial (both visualy (man does it look bad looking back to it) and internally) (btw, click my sig to see the original old one)So you can fully use it using the latest version of gp4builder and have all new features described.
Then Laurent can focus on features (maybe one i suggested :+ )

That's not fair, Maverick.
If so, I would have to restart the poll minus the guide option for another 24h ;)

lol

It sounds better if you created the tools and maverick do the tutorial :)

Personally I'd like gpxpatch updated as many do, and I'd like to see someone taking on SDI's great work further. But if that's too much for you, I'd say make GP4builder into an even more useful tool than before :) One feature is a simpler col creation ;-)

lol i didn´t realize it was your tutorial i referred to :)
i think that it would be the best solution to update an existing tutorial rather than writing a completely new one

OK, it's time for final results:
15.5 votes for a Guide (2)
11 votes for new features (1)
5.5 votes for anything else (5)
2.5 votes for other tools (3)
1.5 vote for the best Monaco track you will ever see in your life and nothing less (4)

So what ?

Well, if Maverick wasn't there, I should write a track editing guide.
But he's there ;) and nobody will complain if two peoples are working for community instead of one.

So here are what I suggest:
Maverick's tutorial is fine but it is outdated and re-reading it some hours ago, it lacks some explanations about things many of you are often asking on the forum. So I offer to take the day of tomorrow to write down most of the things I would like to see in Maverick's tutorial and will send them to him. Then, based on this, I'm sure he will write us a new full-colored, image-packed gorgeous-detailed track editing guide ;) And if he wants to respect my original conditions, he will have 3 weeks to release it. Sounds fair, no ? :)

On my side, as it comes in second position, I will have to go back to my code, studying maths, manipulating figures and bringing new features again. That's what you want, heh ?
OK, so that's what I will try to do. In 3 weeks.

So with a little luck, you might see links for 2 nices releases in 3 weeks :)

(Y) :)

I really hope that you can fix too shiny tarmac problem. (Possibility to compute track.bin normals as they are in original tracks...)

3 weeks? hm.... ok, i agree. I'll do my best to make the guide as updated as possible. I'll make a new thread about it this week so people can ask the questions they have about track editing so i can include them in the guide.
Let the summer begin :P

I´d like to see something as Maverick told. New

As it is possible to create fences today, it would be possible to generate 3d BASIC stuff on proper places such as pitbuilding, S/F bridge, brake markers, jipmappings and so on. Also a better tool to generated land inside and outside fences barriers, to fill up those blanks seen on new tracks. Later it would be edited to generate hills and mountains and any stuff.

And gp4 to col as Paulo!

And multiple selection!

What option would be that? :)

Thanks for poll, great idea. Hope it motivates you, my friend.
