I think we have some good track editing guides, and advice givers. In the end its up to people to put the effort in to learn it.
For me I would like to see the lap, track length and vertice limits broken.

Hm, tough question :)

All options seem nice. But if i could propose one... I see people asking for tutorials where making a track is fairly easy. I would say nobody would need more than a day to make a track like Valencia (only layout, no elevations). The hard part is making it a "track" One you would want to drive ingame because it looks populated. This takes far more work than creating the track itself.
So i real cool feature would be the ability to insert basic objects into your track. (model + texture) I'm thinking of bridges, pitbuildings, crowdstands. You name it. There should be a basic format for those objects. So you could export existing buildings and objects and easily include the in "the gp4builder library" and other people could make basic buildings and objects you could include in new versions.
This way, way created a track with mere clicks (because thanks to all your hard work on features that's what it has become) you can just as easily create a living track (add a few bridges, set up the pit building, create a crowd and it looks alive :) )
Just an idea that popped into my head. :P

Interesting results so far ;)

@vesuvius: TV timing needs to edit the GPxpatch code. It coudl be done but it would be a long and hard work (not that writing a full track editing guide isn't one :)). I can't do anything for tyres anyway.

@gp4free: You're the only one loving Monaco it seems :)

@b-tone & filou16: these limits can only be broken by guys like SDI or Patrick (in some way).

@Maverick : sounds like an old suggestion I already heard before but it gives me some new ideas.

@gigi4 : what thing about track elevations ?

1, it would be nice with fence builder that you can set the same parameters at the last sector in sector range, so you can easily create hills along the track.

i like mavericks idea, so i also vote for something like this.

"how to build your favourite track in 60 minutes" answered all the questions i ever had. perhaps some updates to match new gp4builder features would be nice, but i don´t think an completely new tutorial is necessary. and of course tutorials don´t save any of the endless hours of experimenting (and failing ;) )
