2004 season was the one that started with polys increasing and resolutions going up. Real life cars became very complex and more experienced shapers left, so new cars were quite heavy to run as they were loaded with polys and higher res textures, and then it got the level of people really trying to outdo each other (not a problem with that) and many people don't have PCs that can keep up with good detail - especially when less people make lower lods and the such.

Don jab, I suggest you have someone else take your screenshots if you want to show how the mod truly looks. If anything, hold back on posting images and only keep updates to written logs :).

Also, Steven (is that right?), it is your personality to be like you are but you should really force yourself to learn to not post so strictly and rudely here as much as you do. Look back at how many senseless and silly arguments have come up from nothing.

i never force someone to reply on my comments in any way. Its the way i talk and i won't change it for anyone. You like it or you don't :-)

Thanks Brière, I wouldn't go that far though ;)!
Steven (I double checked, I got it right!), it's not about forcing someone to reply, it's about leaving things "wide open", untied. No one is forcing the other person to comment and if anything they should ignore the post, yes, but why can't you put a little effort into not being as dry, for example? For the overall good of the community, life is full of compromises we must make.

Will you guys behave in here, or the thread will be closed. The deabtes over the last few pages don't concern the mod or even the game. Nobody else wants to read your personal slanging match.

We did read it, can't say I'm liking your tone either, do us all a favour and back off a bit Steve. don-jab is a new user here and his donating his own time and effort to do something valuable for the community. Let's not shoot the guy down in flames before he has even started. You are of course entitled to your opinion, the same as everyone else here, but do try and think of a better way of saying something, especially if your comments are negative. That's my take on it. If you have any argument with that you can take it to the pm service.

Hi guys, if we can finally get back to the mod, after all of these quality complaints i want to give you something good to look at now my graphics card is said to be very good on various websites and runs on the highest quality with any other mod so there is something here that i must be doing wrong.

So to be able to provide you with high quality images i need help sorting out my graphics problems. With this new mod the cars.wad is 400000kb which i somewhat bigger than my 2007 season cars, although the cars seem to run fine in the game. When i put graphics on the highest quality the screen moves forward maybe every 8 seconds which is ridiculous and unplayable, although the tracks and cars look amazing the command buttons take very very long to respond so i end up having to leave the game using keyboard shortcut.

Usually my P.O in these situations are around 800 or 900 % or sometimes even 0% probably when it cant handle it anymore. There are many people who have less powerful graphics cards but manage to run the game on very high quality. Is there anything i can tweak to sort it out, i've tried different graphic cfg files people have made but no luck. it's mainly the p.o that is the problem, is there anything to help this, let me know, thanks

Well, maybe you could reduce the size of the .tex files or the lods files, if possible. I think you have to find a compromise between quality and frame-rate...It's not easy...Good luck!

thanks for the reply, i'll try something of that sort and see how things work, if there's any easier ways or any specific files that can optimise the P.O then someone let me know then i can be able to provide some higher quality screenshots.

Still under construction guys, sorry about the late release, i was planning on releasing it late September as a very early 2008 mod for those who wish it was released earlier every year however I've just started my A-levels and i seem to have lost a lot of spare time due to subjects such as maths, physics, 3d Design and ICT. I am still working on it and will notify everyone as soon as i have neared completion

thanks
