So have already done what I was going to do, jcaranti? There´s little point in me doing it if you have already done it. If your talking about a whole mod then that´s a whole different matter. What i´m trying to achieve is a quick fix for 2008 until someone like yourself or Tony or whoever creates a proper MOD. At the same time people get to create there own personal MODS which should keep people happy for now.

Could you please let me know what your planning jcaranti? Just so I don´t waste my time with this.

hey airefresco, i say you go it on with it. If i'm correct then its just a template that people can use to make personal mods. Many people would appreciate that for the time being until me and jc get a new 2008 mod out.

Don_Jab 2008 cars

I got several requests for some screenshots of new cars. I have provided the following:

Force India- Whole Car
Ferrari- New nose details
McLaren- Changes to Livery
Williams- New Livery
ING Renault - New Shark Fin and other changes
Honda F1- New Livery

and various other changes....

The rest of the cars, i haven't yet changed since i designed them in 2007 but as soon as any changes are made i will update them, if anyone is aware of any other changes to the other cars, please let me know, thanks

looks good, some cars look a bit shiny (alpha layer?) the honda-nose looks a bit strange (too thin and not round enough)

mmmm.... yes i noticed that but i just tried the game again, while playing it looks very good, and it is rounded, i think it was just that moment i took the shot otherwise in game i cant see a problem, the shine is a slight problem with toro rosso but others are ok. I will work to improve them, glad you liked them

At least, the McLaren is the one that we (Erik Schakel and I) made. I'm not sure but the Force India seems to be the MMG Spyker made by Raymond Schram and painted by Nils99999.

I am not disagreeing, don't get me wrong, and if you've spent many hours designing a car, you'll recognise it.
But if two fairly decent works are produced, based on the same car, or grandstand etc, then won't they look very much the same?
How does one tell from a screenshot if one is a copy/based on someone elses work?

is it a bug or did you really have a po of 502% when you took that fi screen? or is this high po related to the fact that you took a screenshot?

Before painting any car i was thinking the same as you: How the hell can somebody recognize his car only from an screenshot.
But when you are painting a car, you also know how many cars like yours are in the scene, and what differences are there between yours and others. Also you can recognize some details you painted, some parts you could have done better and things like that, believe me. I can say that this McLaren is surely done from my Mp4-22 extracted from MMG2007 Mod. I can recognize many little things in that screenshot.

man, whats with all of this recognising, i didnt say i designed them from scratch, i changed 2007 models, and the thing isn t even a mod so if people to dont want then i wont release. The low resolution is because i set my graphics setting real low. been having problems recently with my graphics and a car.wad of 400000kb. Still putting things together.

If anybody has a problem about these cars then i wont release it, i've been working on gp4 stuff for 2 years now and i am pretty new to this whole gp4 community.

I am working on finishing a singapore track now then i should have a full set of tracks other than valencia street circuit.

If there are any objections to the release of these then let me know, i'll just keep for personal use as i have never actually released a mod for people, just edited things myself. In also don't have a clue how a csm mod works, this is all from the actual files

The people who mentioned "crap" can f*** off because this did take me a long time. The crap is probably because of the res, i had low graphics settings, as mentioned otherwise when set on optimum graphics, trust me the 2008 season is fabulous.

It's not an objection from the community. As you said, you only modified the cars, not done them from scratch. So you should ask the original authors if they let you release the modified cars or not, and mention everybody's names in a readme file together with the Mod.

For example... that sidebar that shows position, lap, fuel, driving aids and PO was made by myself, although only a few people in the world know that If that sidebar is going with the Mod just write in the readme that I made it, but you still need to ask the authors of the cars. It's an unofficial rule, but is a matter of politeness.

Good luck with this project and don't be let down by unfriendly comments.
