Skaaningen,i know that paolo is working on the real liverie.
I was saying that words for suggestion;an edited version of MMG's Mclaren 2007 can't be released(MMG's rules)

I know that. But does that mean that you can't wait the time remaning? You mean that another guy is going to paint the same liverie on the same shape as paolo ? Mate, I can promise you that Paolo's paintjob is worth waiting for .. no need to add an extrapainter

I didn't say that Paolo isn't doing a good job.I saw his work and I like it.I'm waiting it with patient.I give only a suggestion at other member(I'm not interested to another livery;Paolo is already doing a good job)

I can't try to do mclaren 2008's livery;i'm a newbie in 3d-editing and painting.
I'm learning something from my recent works:Conversion of Mclaren 2007 to 2009(for myself),Shape and Textures's update for andry's mclaren 2008(maybe i will release it) and Mika Hakkinen 2008 fictional helmet for MDBSnake's shape(it's going to be released).

I just downloaded this one, it's......lods are all named car_williams....etc .......i would like to change this in car_mclaren etc...do you think this is possible or could i expect problems with installation of this great car?

no, that should be ok.

if you are unsure, make sure you back up the one you are replacing so you can change back later if you need to.

You can rename the lods. no problem. Just one thing, never rename textures (excepted that you can had or remove the prefix "hi_" for high or normal resolution for textures ingame)

You can also use Teameditor to select the carshapes you want to use ingame (if the names are differents from the original wad).

I'm not painting the whole car, but what I have done is a start anyway for the really good painters.
