It's great a new f1 game will be developed, but i prefered to see a f1 game from SimBin. Sorry to say but the DTM serie was real crap, specially the tracks. So let's hope they will do a better job and maybe we will get a succesor for GP4.

Agree, but a small developer like Simbin can't afford a mighty expensive F1 licence and due the expensiveness of the license it's not likely that the new F1 game from Codemasters would become a real sim.

If its true it will be based somehow on Grid, there aint any hope about having any realism.. Game was closer to V-rally, Ridge Racer and Outrun than any even half serious simulator.

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

I think Codebasters hav ethe opportunity to do a fantastic job with the EGO engine, The crash physics are amazing, dents and dirt scraps on the cars and destructable barriers (including tyrewall), and fantastic rain effect. Lets hope they do a good job and dont make it too arcadey.

Even when it's going to be an arcade game the graphics should be amazing. In 2009 there will be more possibilities to make a realistic atmosphere around the tracks, I'm sure about that

Since they are making it across platforms has anyone considered they might leave the arcade stuff for the consoles and make the PC version more realistic?

Well, I think it's just far more easier for Codemasters to make 1 game, convert it for every platform, and release it

easier and much less expensive

yes, i would think it would be identical for every platform

as well as the physics, hopefully the game is able to be modded, because in the past codemasters games haven't been great for new cars/tracks from the community
