[RELEASED] GP4 1996 Season - v1.0 (after 13 years now!) - NEWS: 1996 Trackpack v0.5 in first post!

@Dan: Did you also edit the globalvars.ini and MergeINI.lst? It works fine for me, except that #000000 isn't accepted as rimcolor (I used #111111 instead). Regarding the NT helmets for Nurburgring, if you look at the 1996.ini in Data\Helmets you'll see that it's not set up to use them for track 4. You have to add Schumacher4=NT etc. to get the NT helmets for the Nurburgring, too.

great Tyrrells Tobi :)
I did exactly as you said on the other page mate.

Could you send me your MergeINI.lst file and your Melbourne folder?

I've managed to fix the Nurbugring as well, thanks.

Thanks Tobi, I had a rummage around in my files and noticed that I had left [tweak] in twice in my 1996globalvars file.

All fixed now.

Thanks mate :)

Looking forward to seeing some more previews of the Tyrrell.

the Tyrrell is amazing, a new star rised at the painter heaven (Y)
Gorgeous Tyrrell!! (Y)
Tobi, I'll let you off ;)

Out of interest, is there meant to be just a single lod for one car in the Hockenheim folder?

Yes, Katayama had 2 red squares on the rearwing until Silverstone (Salo not), from Hockenheim onwards both their rearwings looked the same. To achieve this, I renamed the texture with the rearwing on it for car2 in gp4builder to 024_22 for races 1-10. From Hockenheim on they use the same texture (024_2) again.

A small correction for the Ferrari rearlight positions, I accidentally switched the Y and Z values
[REAR_LIGHT_AMBIENT01_POS]
driver01		=  0.0000,   -0.1531,   -2.2217
driver02		=  0.0000,   -0.1531,   -2.2217

Right, that sounds great mate.

Thanks for the Ferrari light fix :)

Here's some shots of the Tyrrell 024, Melbourne livery.

I'm sure you'll all join in me in saluting a brilliant job by Tobi. Thanks mate.

Thanks for a great looking car. I was wondering though why there are eleven different track specific liveries but only five different ones used in the .ini file. I have noticed this in some of the other mods that I have been installing recently.
Wow, that looks great! :)

This happens because if the folder have the trackname correct you don't need to insert this same name on .ini files :-)

By the way thank you tobi for the great Tyrrell car painting. Stunning!

Another question to @quickslick: Do you have Tyrrell pics? If yes, you can search in wich races the car runs with that front suspension inserted wing?

Another bug found: when you select 3d rim in CSM menu, the wheel on cockpit view is flickering. This happens because in 3d the rims is rotate, but in rim folder the file "car_wheel_front_cockpit.gp4" is only half wheel to prevent polycount....

In 2d mod is all ok but in 3d this error happens.

The solutions (maybe) is creathe a full 3d cockpit wheel to insert in 3d rim folder. Anyone?

Set the first line of f1graphics to 1 ;-)

I don't have this problem here kerley. Also, the car_wheel_front_cockpit.gp4 in Data\Rims\3D is the full wheel, and for 3d rims rotate is set to 0.

One thing I have noticed is that Forti appear even after the British Grand Prix.

Is this an issue on my end, or a general bug?

Also, is there a new F03 Forti shape? Or a yellow version of crashkings F03 available, as they actually ran that car from Imola onwards, before the Shannon Racing deal which came about in time for the Spanish GP.

In "Car/Hockenheim/" folder "car_tyrrell_car1_lod_0.gp4" is missing... Can i rename it from "car2_lod0"?

My workthread with all RELEASED and WIP stuff

@Dan: Forti don't show up for me from Hungaroring onwards (wiki says they were present at Hockenheim, but didn't have any engines ;)). Check your numcars.ini, and if CarsEnabler is set to 1 in the 1996gp4tweak.ini.

@RotTeufel: The car1_lod0 isn't missing, it's just not needed, see Dan's post and mine below for the explanation.
