Night races in GP4

In last 5 minutes i made a test with a quick edit...
i know the texture is orrible but it is onlya quick try :P
I think that with a correct use of shadowns it will be possible :P

i like it. but im more concerned of the physics.. less grip and more tyrewear due to lower temperatures

Yep, it's possible to have night races in gp4. I made some quick tests few weeks ago, here is two screens.. I think that with dark envmaps cars will look more darker..

at least in MotoGP it would if it rains

well if it rains like in fuji 2007 they will never start in those conditions when its night/dark.

if it rains i think it`ll be impossible to see anything because the artificial light on quite a low position (compared to sun position) will cause huge reflections.

@ttm: i like these effects that simulate the lights. looks superb

I have a night sky I usee too. The problem with the sky is that putting stars in the sky makes them bigger than they should I'll post a screenshot later also I've been trying to make flood lights too. I'll post them when I finish if any trackmakers want them.

Here's my night sky so far, file size is 5.31 MB instead of the original 1.32 MB but the star are still too big. Just thought I'd show it. It looked better in Melbourne where the bottom was lit up and got darker the higher the sky dome went.
