F1 1997 Mod - [Conversion from F1 Challenge]

i dont want the mod,i have the cars,wheels,sounds,pretty much everything else i only need the helmets..

@jcaranti - If you're going to borrow things from other mods, make sure you get permission first. And especially if the mod is entirely based on an existing one. Also Damon looks squashed - resize the CSM preview images (I think 295x197 is the right size)
Otherwise, looks like an ok mod

btw, you're welcome to use whatever helmets from the 1996 ITC mod you need

b-tone, I send to J-C a 97 Larini's helmet, but I don't like that one... I will redo it.

By the way, in ITC mod we have Larini's 97 layout helmet? I download the mod but I don't find the helmet in wad file.... only appers small squares and no helmet.

@LWC, contact J-C, he have the helmets. And if you can help us with your sound and tyres we will appreciate!

b-tone: wrong because i did not use any helmets from one of your mods.
The 97 helmets were given by Intweb and by Quickslick and non are yours so you dont have any claim on this.! The 96 helmets are been maid and 8 of them were given very kindly by Fongu that are high res, they are for the Arai 2005 shape.

About resize i will do it if i like, but its hard because
of the pictures i have are already cut and it doesnt allow me
to do it well.
And like a respected member says "dont like,it dont use".

About Permissions, im very curious why you think i will not ask permissions?
And by the way i know your friend bigbrother is behind this to stop this
mod and pisses me off when you write here like lecturing me... Pm´s are
nice and supportive but you never answer them, even msn is nice to exchange ideas but you dont accept me in msn and you dont give the address but hey now you take the time write here ... its like a miracle just happend...

I haven't seen any of my helmets in this mod, I was just offering the ITC ones as I saw someone ask a few pages back, but I've just checked and that mod doesn't even have any helmets - sorry!
Maybe some 1988 ones are useful, but I imagine they would've changed deesigns in 10 years.

You've used the track images from the 95 (i think) mod - it would be nice for the mod to have a different look to it, thats all.
Also the mod uses some ini files from another mod.

For the Damon etc pics, just resize it to 205x205 then crop 8 pixels off an edge - shouldn't affect things too much.

my helmets are made for the sheoi 96 shape, not the 05 shaped arai, although the mapping is similar, the logos that span between two textures won't fit properly

Ok ill make new track maps.
About other things how would you know what do the mod
has or not? Or someone passed you the mod?

Other issue are you going to be the Police of this mod?.
If so i stop right now because i dont want to go
thru another crusade. Just had enought crap last year
and half of this year to get one mod released.

I think we better start working on communications and fast...

I am new here and all but in my short time here I see there are a lot of fights over who owns what. I know it's a pain in the ass when someone takes credit from your hard work, but it's also nice to see that your hard work is being used because it was well done. I doubt many people get money from any of these mods and I apreciate that because nobody can buy the time any of you spend doing these things, so please all of you should be proud of what you do and know that by helping each other you can do anything. Why refuse to share some blood that you dont need when you can save a life with it?

Looks ok, but if you stick to 205x197 then CSM won't have to resize it and you won't lose any quality (and is the name really needed??)
(same with st wheel pics, but not sure of those dimensions 205x???)

You've used the 1995 mod as a base when building this mod, right? What about something other than famfamfam?
